Woohoo! We got our first rain in ages yesterday afternoon! It lasted all of about 5 minutes, but a little rain is better than no rain at all. Hope it's a sign of wetter things to come.

Serenity of a Summer Shower
We're having a great summer rain today. This summer has been fairly wet here in my neck of the woods, though I'm not sure that was the case everywhere in Florida. And the wonderful thing about a summer shower is the cooling of temperatures. Yesterday, the temperatures hovered around 80 degrees here all day, which is pretty cool. Even when the rain wasn't falling, we had the benefit of complete cloud cover. : ) So I took my camera out and photographed my rain-soaked, cloud-shaded garden...just the way I like it!
